Home made eggless mayonnaise and spread

Mayonnaise. A dish which brings a frown upon the faces of all diet - freaks. Something associated with fat, grease, and a stepping stone to being overweight. As tasty as it is, it is equally fattening ; unless, you prepare it at home! Making mayonnaise at home sounds next to impossible to most, but I'm here to make it easier and naturally, healthier. You can use it while making Burgers, sandwiches or as a dip. In this recipe, I have used both butter and olive oil. You can use only olive oil. And you can replace all purpose flour with whole-wheat flour. So, Happy cooking.. Ingredients: 1. All purpose flour or Maida: 2 tbsps 2. Butter: 2tbsps 3. Milk: 2 cups 4. Mustard powder: 1/2 tsp 5. Kheer is the quintessential Indian desert and any festive meal is incomplete without "kheer" or "payasam" We have grown up eating many types of kheer. This particular recipe is a Bengali speciality and my kids favourite. This is made with Gobindobhog rice. You can use Basmati rice or Jeera rice. It tastes equally good. You go to any Indian home, no matter what the occasion is, guests are treated with a bowl of kheer or payas. And we need no excuses and reasons to enjoy this beautiful recipe... Let's make and relish "Payesh" Ingredients: 1. Rice: 1 cup 2. Sugar: 1 cup 3. Milk: 1 ltr 4. Khoya: 2 tbsp (grated) 5. Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp 6. Bay leaf: one 7. Wish you all a very happy "ugadi" Festivals means food. This is celebrated in Karnataka, Andhra pradesh, Telengana, Maharashtra and many parts of India. "Holige" or "obbattu" or "Puran poli" is a traditional sweet, which is prepared during ugadi. People are experimenting a lot with Holige. Even you can experiment with different fillings. Most popular and authentic to ugadi is Dal or Bele holige and Coconut or kayi holige. Both are equally delicious. Today I am going to show you the Dal holige. Quick chocolate Brownie

This needs no introduction. This is a feast for all the chocoholics. Yes..I am in the list. I am going to show you the eggless version without the use of an oven. You can make it in the conventional oven also. Since it is a quick chocolate Brownie, I am making it in a pressure cooker to speed up the process; hassle free. Here, i have used dark chocolate shavings you can either use dark chocolate bars or chocochips. I haven't used any extra essence or sugar. As condensed milk contains sugar and dark chocolate contains sugar and some flavour. It's lots of chocolate with some nuts thrown in. They call it Brownie. But I call it "Pure Indulgence" Ingredients: 1. Dark chocolate: 1 cup+ 1/2 cup 2. Milk: 1 cup 3. Fresh cream: 3 tbsps 4. All purpose flour: 1 cup 5. Baking powder: 1/4 tsp 6. Baking soda: 1/4 tsp 7. This one is a sure shot hit among all. Kids can have this for breakfast, lunch and dinner...No prizes for guessing...This is easy to make and can be stuffed with anything that your child doesn't eat normally. Yes, this is the all time favourite "sandwich". You can healthyfy by using whole-wheat bread. This particular recipe is a popular street food of Mumbai. Let's make sandwich a la chowpatty ishtyle!! Ingredients: 1. Bread: one big loaf 2. Potatoes: 5-6 nos. 3. Onions: 3-4 nos 4. Bell peppers: 1 cup (sliced) 5. Green chutney: 6 tbsps 6. Tomato ketchup: Approximately 1 cup 7. Cheddar cheese: 1 cup (grated) 8. Chat masala: 1/2 tsp 9. Butter: 50 gms. Preparation: Boil and peel the potatoes. Make thin slices. Slice the onions and bell peppers. Grate the cheese. Hi friends! Summer is here. How about welcoming the summer with some refreshing coolers? Come, Let's make these summer coolers with the goodness of green tea. Here, I have used canned cranberry juice. You can use fresh ones. The fresher, the better. You can make 4 glasses of Tea Ingredients: 1. Green tea bags: 5 nos 2. Cranberry juice: 200 ml 3. Orange juice:  100 ml 4. Ginger ale: 2 tsp 5. Ice cubes: A few. Preparation: Ginger Ale: Peel and grate 100 gms of ginger. Put it in the mixer and extract juice. Keep aside. Take 100 gms of sugar, put half cup of water and mix well  Add 5 tbsp lemon juice and ginger juice. Boil the above mixture till you get ghee like consistency. You can store this for about a year without refrigerating. Boil 3 cups of water. Put the tea bags and keep it covered for 10 mins. Discard the tea bags and refrigirate the tea. Procedure: 1. Paneer shawarma rolls

Shawarma rolls is a very popular middle eastern dish, usually stuffed with thin slices of chicken and vegetables wrapped in pita bread. My take on shawarma rolls is easy to make and yummy for the tummy. I am using thin slices of marinated and roasted paneer along with vegetables and tahini sauce. You can serve with all time favourite tomato and cucumber salad with some pickled turnips. Instead of pita bread, I'm using whole-wheat chapati or roti. You can use pita bread if you want to. So let's get started!! Ingredients: 1. Whole wheat flour:  2 cups 2. Sesame seeds:  50 gms 3. Lemon juice: 2 tbsps 4. Garlic cloves:  10 5. Olive oil: 5 tbsps 6. Bell peppers (Mixed):  1 cup julienned 7. Onions: one 8. Paneer or cottage cheese: 200 gms 9. Tahini sauce: 5 tbsps 10. Cubed tomato and cucumber: 1 cup 11. Parsley: 1 tsp 12. Chilli flakes: 1 tsp Preparation: Recipe for Tahini: Blend sesame seeds, lemon juice, 5 garlic cloves, salt and olive oil to a smooth paste.
