Hope you all will love it. Whenever i ate veg nuggets, potato wedges or smilies, i used to wonder how do they make it? Not very difficult. Potato is such a versatile vegetable! Whether you bake it, boil it, fry or just mash it. It tastes just awesome. Potato is not bad at all as some people portray. If taken in moderation, it's good. Ok friends, try this ...I know, you are going to fall in love with this snack. And you will be surprised to see the number of ingredients. Ingredients: 1. Potatoes: 250 gms 2. Corn flour: 2 tbsps (or more to get a stiff dough) 3. Processed cheese: 2 tbsps 4. Red chilli flakes: 1/2 tsp 5. Dried oregano: 1 tsp 6. Salt to taste. 7. Oil for deep frying. Momos are the perfect indulgence for winter..right? I know, our mouths water by the mere mention of these amazing dumplings. I have tasted momos in many up market restaurants and on streets. But the best ones are the ones i had in fancy bazaar, Guwahati and in a small shop in Khatmandu. I swear, i haven't tasted anything like that recently. Almost every region has their version of momos...we make kai kadubu and uddina kadubu during Nagara panchami, Maharashtrians love their ganesh chaturthi modaks, chinese have dimsums, and Italy's ravioli is also quite similar, may be the fillings are different according to the availability of local ingredients. A popular restaurant accompaniment with Indian rotis, phulkas and naans. And a perfect party menu. This is slightly on the spicier side and very yummy too.  You can mix cooked rice to this to make very different and yummy pulao. The main advantage is that, you can use as many varieties of vegetables as you can. Because this gravy blends well with any vegetable. So happy cooking friends!! Ingredients: 1. Mixed vegetables: 300 gms or 1 big bowl 2. Capsicum: 1 medium sized 3. Onions: 3 nos 4. Tomatoes: 2 nos 5. Cashews: 1 tbsp 6. Spinach: 1 small cup 7. Coriander powder: 1 tsp 8. Garam masala: 1 tsp 9. Kalakand This very yummy and popular Indian desert needs no introduction. No, this is not inspired by the Nawab of pataudi's new flick as the letter "i" is not there in my recipe.(pun intended). Hmm..that's a different topic altogether. Many of us don't make this at home; maybe because it is laborious and you need to stand in front of the milk pot for hours?? Putting all of your worries aside, I have come up with yet another shortcut recipe, for Kalakand. Some experts may disagree...with due respect to them, I assure you that this tastes the same, as long as the ingredients and  measurements are right. Here, in this recipe, I have used fresh homemade chena or paneer. You can use the ones available in the market also, but the fresher, the better. Cook only in low to medium heat. Pour the contents immediately after the mixture leaves the sides of the pan otherwise, your kalakand will become chewy. Ingredients: 1. Fresh paneer: 1 cup 2. Condensed milk: 1/2

After all the festivities, especially sankranti, I really wonder what to do with such a big heap of bananas? Enough of the smoothies and fruit salads...time to do something different this time. Bendekayi Gojju What can I say about this curry?? This is a common curry prepared in the south Indian state of Karnataka particularly in the region of Mysore. As the name suggests, it is spicy, tangy and very yummy! This is usually eaten with rice. But tastes good with Akki rotti, Ragi rotti and Dosa as well. There is no short cut in this recipe because I want people to taste authentic south Indian food; there is more to south Indian food than just Idlies, vadas and Dosas! So Let's make this Mysore style gojju staight from my Mother's kitchen. Ingredients: 1. Okra: 500gms 2. Chana Dal: 2 1/2 tsp 3. Grated Coconut: 1 cup 4. Jaggery grated: 2 tsp 5. Doughnuts Many faces gleam when they see the shop selling Doughnuts or Donuts. The aroma fills up the surroundings making us foodies, impossible to resist these freshly made colourful donuts. When I was young, I had never heard about donuts. I tasted my first donut in Flurry's, Kolkata, and I love them to date! Then I started making donuts. The earlier ones resembled paper weights; nevertheless I never gave up experimenting. After lots of permutations and combinations, at last I learnt to make donuts. Hi all! Wish you a very happy New year..May god bless you all with good health and happiness. For me, happiness is food. I don't mind whether it's cooking, eating, writing or just watching some cookery based programs. What better way lies as compared to kick starting 2018 with some sweet indulgence?? Isn't it a great idea? I hope everyone loves Rasmalai.. Because that's what we are making today!!!! Ingredients:  1. Toned Milk:  2 ltrs 2. Sugar: 300 gms 3. Lemon juice: 2-3 tbsps 4. Saffron strands: A few 5. Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp. 6. Fine semolina: 1tsp 7. Maida or All purpose flour: 1tsp 8. Almond flakes for garnishing. 9. Milk powder: 2 tbsps Preparation: Boil 11/2 ltrs of milk keep aside. Let it come to room temperature. Put lemon juice, cover and keep for half an hour or till it curdles..strain.
