Choco chip cookies

Who can resist the aroma of freshly baked cookies and piping hot coffee? This is one of the best things to have with coffee and is a favourite amongst coffee lovers. This yummy recipe is easy to make. Add the ingredients as given in the recipe. Don't worry if the dough is little crumbly, it will come together if you work the dough with your hands, like you make for rotis. You can make the cookies on the previous day and bake them on the next day.  Happy baking! Ingredients: 1. All purpose flour:  2 cups or 240 gms 2. Corn starch: 2 tsp 3. Butter: 3/4 cup or 120 gms 4. Brown sugar: 3/4 cup or 150 gms 5. Granulated sugar: 1/4 cup or 50 gms 6. Baking soda: 1 tsp 7. Choco chips: 1 cup 8. Vanilla extract: 2 tsp 9. Salt: A pinch Preparation: Sift the maida, corn starch and baking soda, along with a pinch of salt. You can use chopped cooking chocolate instead of choco chips. Procedure: 1. Beat the butter for a minute. 2. Add both the sugars and beat until fluffy.

Thai Green curry

Hi Friends! It's been so long...Nice to be posting after a long hiatus. Actually I was down with fever and cough. I know it has happened to many people out there, because of the sudden weather change. After those strong doses of antibiotics and bland food, I am craving for something spicy and flavourful ! Maybe some curry! This particular curry is full of fresh flavours and usually served with Thai jasmine rice. You can serve it with plain steamed rice. Don't get disheartened if you don't get all the ingredients, you can always replace them with the locally available ingredients. If you want to use the ready made pastes available in the markets, do make sure of the ingredients because all are not vegetarian friendly. Here, I have used Thai pea brinjals. If you find them, it's good. Otherwise, don't worry. This curry is for my friends, who love their veggies and wants to expriment with new dishes.
